Jacques Coumans, PhD appointed to InkSpace Imaging Board of Directors

Pleasanton, Calif. – September 22, 2022. InkSpace Imaging is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacques Coumans, PhD to the company’s board of directors.

In addition to being widely known and highly regarded for his knowledge in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Jacques Coumans also brings broad commercial experience with MRI manufacturers and the hospitals that use them.

I’m delighted to welcome Jacques to our board of directors as the company enters the commercial phase,” said Peter Fischer, President and Chief Executive Officer of InkSpace Imaging. “He brings a wealth of experience in the field of MRI and is broadly connected throughout the industry, and more fundamentally he is focused on the patients’ needs as well.

Coumans has held various executive leadership positions in large, mid-cap, and emerging healthcare companies, such as Philips, General Electric, Analogic, Harvard Bioscience, and Hyperfine. As CEO of Lakeshore Health Specialists, he advises and coaches imaging companies and their leaders. Coumans is a Dutch American physicist by training and has, over the last 30 years, developed deep-domain expertise in the radiology fields of MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and X-ray. Coumans completed his undergraduate studies at Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands and earned his PhD from the Technische Universität Braunschweig in Germany. He also held a position as Adjunct Associate

Professor of Radiology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

“InkSpace Imaging’s MR coil technology addresses the fundamental unmet need in patient centric MRI: how to obtain superior Image Quality efficiently while enhancing, rather than impairing, patient comfort.” said Coumans, “I am excited to join InkSpace Imaging's board of directors and to help position the company for continued greater growth.”
